Teresa Arriaga has over ten years of experience working as an immigration paralegal. She now focuses primarily on humanitarian cases at UIL, including U visas, T visas, VAWA petitions, humanitarian deferred actions, and asylum cases. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies from the University of North Georgia. Both of her parents are Mexican immigrants, and witnessing her mother navigate her own immigration journey played a significant role in shaping her career path. This background gives her a deep understanding of the challenges families face and motivates her to approach her work with empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to helping others through a process that profoundly impacts their lives.

Outside of work, she enjoys staying active through weight training, Orange Theory, and pickleball. She also loves reading, crocheting, traveling, learning about new cultures, and spending quality time with her husband, family, and friends
