Urbina Dreamers Foundation Scholarship

At Urbina Law Firm, we are passionate about giving back to the Hispanic community. That is why, each year we award a $2,000 scholarship to a student who is a current DACA recipient and that is enrolled in a school within the United States. We are asking students to share with us how they actively demonstrate involvement as a volunteer in a school, church, or a non-profit organization that serves the Hispanic community, exhibits leadership qualities, and has good moral character. It is our hope that through this scholarship we can help a Hispanic student achieve their academic goals and pursue their dreams.

Scholarship Eligibility and Requirements:

Scholarship applicants must be a DACA recipient, living within the United States, and enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program within the United States. High school seniors who will be enrolled in college before the application deadline of December 1, 2021 are also encouraged to apply. Applicants must also have a minimum GPA of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and demonstrate that they are actively involved as a volunteer in the Hispanic community.

Application Requirements:

A full scholarship application must include:

  • Proof of DACA status
  • An updated resumé listing academic, professional, and volunteer experiences
  • A current or your most recent official or unofficial academic transcript. If you are a high school senior, you must also submit proof of acceptance to your college or university.
  • A 750-1000 word essay detailing your involvement in the Hispanic community, how you have helped others, and how helping others has impacted your life and your community.
  • A completed application submission form (see below form)

*All documents need to be sent together and must be received by December 1, 2021.
