Attorney Michael Urbina was born and raised in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. He moved to Georgia in the summer of 1999. Mr. Urbina holds a B.S. in Managerial Science from Georgia State University. He received his J.D. from John Marshall Law School, where he graduated amongst the top of his class in 2011.
During his early law school career, Mr. Urbina worked for several in-house legal departments with international corporations such as The Coca-Cola Company, Invesco Limited, Crawford & Company, and Kemira Chemicals. During these opportunities, he worked on numerous projects that involved mergers and acquisitions, trademark law, franchise law, employment law, securities law, and contract law.
During his third year of law school, Mr. Urbina interned at the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor (OPLA) for the Department of Homeland Security. Under the supervision of OPLA attorneys, he represented the government in bond hearings and cancellation of removal hearings, second-chaired numerous types of hearings, conducted legal research, and drafted documents to assist the OPLA attorneys with their immigration cases. In 2010 Mr. Urbina started working at The Alemany Law Firm, a firm that focused on immigration. He worked there for three years and on May 2013 founded his own firm, The Urbina Law Firm.
During his free time, Mr. Urbina enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
